    this is a piece I had created in my earlier years, but I do feel I should share. When I created this piece I felt I didn’t recognize myself. Out of a time of stress I chose to create.

    There were days I couldn’t grasp the world’s movements — heavy with sadness and anger despite being taught to lead with love. In high school, during Black Lives Matter, I drew peace to hold those feelings. Now, as history repeats in the Latino community, this piece is an offering, a witness, a quiet act of survival.
